Clean-up actions
Join us in keeping Hvar clean
Beach Clean/up Actions
As part of our commitment to environmental sustainability during our project we will organize two clean-up actions of beaches. We aim to protect Hvar's natural beauty by removing plastic waste and marine debris from coastal areas. In collaboration with local volunteers, eco conscious travelers, and partner organizations, we gather to clean beaches, raise awareness about plastic pollution, and promote the Refill philosophy: reduce, reuse and refill. Every clean-up action is toward preserving Hvar's coastline for future generations and supporting a cleaner, healthier planet.
Monitoring Waste Collected
As a part of our beach clean-up efforts we place a strong focus on monitoring and analyzing the waste collected on island's shores. After clean-up action volunteers help sort and categorize the waste by type - plastic, glass, metal, paper and organic material. This data is carefully recorded to track pollution patterns, identify the most common waste sources, and measure the impact of our clean-up initiatives over time. By monitoring the gathered waste, we gain valuable insight that guide our awareness campaigns, support policy recommendations, and help build a cleaner, more sustainable future for Hvar.
